  • Dr. Mike Factor / Owner

Dr. Michael Factor was born in a small rural town in Michigan, into a family that was a balance of hardworking farmers and middle class businessmen. His mother’s side, headed by his grandmother Virginia, always emphasized education as the key to success and her family ran a city grocery store. Mike has also developed a true work ethic from his grandfather Otto, a German wheat farmer that could do more with his one good hand than most men with two. Unfortunately, Otto lost his four fingers on his right hand in a common farming accident involving a threshing machine. At an early age, Michael moved to an area just south of St. Louis, MO and always had a deep interest in animals and how they behaved. His favorite activity with his father was watching Wild Kingdom on PBS Sunday nights.

Mike found his passion for Veterinary medicine soon after graduating from college and volunteering at his neighborhood Veterinary hospital. It was a perfect match of science, animal contact, and the development of community relationships. He found that every day was a new challenge both physically and mentally. It was during that time that he made the commitment to enter Veterinary school. Mike met his wife, Brittany, at the end of his first year of school and they were married soon after graduation. Mike enjoys snowboarding, horse back riding, cow horse training, and ice hockey. His dogs RJ and Poppi, are his favorite couch surfing buddies, and he loves to take them on day hikes throughout the state of Colorado.
